چکیده
The effects of methionine supplementation in diets with different replacement levels fish meal (FM) by pea protein concentrate (PPC) on survival, growth performance and body composition juvenile tench (0.39 g initial weight) were studied a 90-day experiment. Six practical (50% crude protein) differing level FM PPC tested: 0% (control diet), 35%,45%, 60%, 75% or 85%, corresponding to 0, 285, 366, 487, 608 685.4 kg−1 diet respectively. To provide the same amount as control diet, was included from 45% substitution level. Survival rates high, between 93.7% 100%, without differences among treatments. Juveniles fed 85% showed lower (p < 0.05) weight specific rate, which cannot be attributed deficiency. In all treatments, percentages externally visible deformities low (under 0.1%). increase content resulted significant reduction lipid whole-body juvenile. Minimum requirements for could estimated 10 over this would not necessary. Juvenile exhibited high tolerance dietary content, up 487 kg−1, affecting performance, make possible consider vegetal source suitable substitute FM.

Growth response and tail-muscle fatty acid quality of Pacific white shrimp, Litopenaeus vannamei (Boone) fed with diets containing different levels of rice protein concentrate
The effect of five isonitrogenous diets (36.6% protein), formulated by replacing 0, 25, 50, 75, and 100% of fish meal (FM) with rice protein concentrate (RPC), was investigated on the growth and tail-muscle fatty acid (FA) quality of juvenile Pacific white shrimp, Litopenaeus vannamei. The feeds were fed to shrimp (initial weight of 6.99 ± 0.08 g) five times daily to apparent satiation for 60 d...
